So I walked up to the counter at Starbucks stressing about whether or not I should take the pain and get a latte. I'm lactose intolerant but love cream in my coffee. So sometimes I just accept the consequences and drink to my pleasure; but tonight, I decided to be obnoxious just ask if they had other options. Surprisingly enough they can make special coffees with soy milk, which is lactose free! It has just as much flavor, minus the pain afterwards.
It kind of got me thinking about this in the scheme of things and by things I mean life...yes, I do that.
Most of us just "take" whatever life gives to us, instead of creating it on our own. We don't ask questions, make what we want, go out of our way; most of the time at the risk of seeming obnoxious, out of the ordinary, being hated. But then I thought, these instances sometimes hurt us in the long run. Like choosing ordinary milk, we can choose to just take whatever is at face like a certain someone or a $500 charge.
What if we all took the time to ask before we jumped into things, speak what's on our mind? What if we actually stopped and started to create our own destiny, instead of just taking life as it comes? And what if we stopped caring how other people would think if we broke the mold and actually did something spontaneously selfish?
So yes, something as little as soy milk can lead to happily ever afters and a bigger paycheck. Try it, you'll see.
[this is good] I am alergic to dairy... no not lactose intolerant... alergic! Basically if I consume dairy I get hives, start swelling, have trouble breathing... fun stuff like that!
Anyway I know the pain of not being able to order food sans dairy- and it does kinda suck but pays off in the end. In all honesty I drink my coffee black the way coffee is suppose to be consumed.
But from one non-dairy eater to another... in all honesty its much healthier for you to cut out dairy. Dairy is designed for children, and really adult bodies in today's age don't really gain anything from it. If anything its bad for you.
